Hemet, CA - Simpson Park is once again slated for closure effective June 15, 2009. Fire season is here and this closure is necessary to help ensure the safety of the park and its visitors. While there are plans in place to make the park more fire-safe, our winter rains, coupled with our rather quick seasonal warming period did not allow time to put the new vegetation management plan in action. We hope to initiate the Simpson Park Vegetation Management Plan (VMP) in the fall of 2009.

Once completed, the VMP will allow us to keep the park open on an annual basis.
Our residents, visitors and business owners are strongly encouraged to make their properties safer from the ravages of fire by removing weeds and dead vegetation from around your homes and businesses. Use extreme caution with open flames, spark generating tools and smoking materials; leave the fire works to the professionals.
