City Manager's Office

If you are a Hemet resident, I look forward to meeting you. If you are a visitor, on behalf of all of us at City Hall, we look forward to welcoming you to Hemet on your next visit.

Hemet operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The Council-Manager form is a system of local government that combines the strong political leadership of elected officials in the form of a council or other governing body, with the strong managerial experience of an appointed local government manager.

The City Manager serves as Chief Executive Officer of the City. He serves as an advisor to the City Council on policy items impacting the community and the City organization. The City Manager appoints the City's department heads and is responsible for ensuring that city services are performed to the highest standard in accordance with Council policies. The City Manager is responsible for the submission of the City's budget and implementation in support of City Council goals.
