Summer Reading starts June 6th

The Hemet Public Library's annual summer reading program is starting soon! Sign-ups begin June 6. Summer Reading ends July 28th. Register at the Library or Online.

View the Library's Events Page to learn more about summer programs. No registration is required to attend programs.

Children (ages 3-10) read 3 hrs. per week to earn a prize and tweens & teens (ages 11-18) read 4 hrs. per week to earn a prize. Earn all 7 prizes!

Lunch @ the Library: June 6 - July 27

This summer, the Hemet Public Library will offer free healthy lunches for children & teens 18 and under  in partnership with the Hemet Unified School District through the USDA Summer Food Service Program. There is no sign-up, application, income verification or identification needed. Meals are served to all children on a first come, first served basis. We hope you’ll join us for a summer filled with free activities, summer reading and healthy lunches to help young bodies and minds in our community grow and thrive!

Lunch is served:

Wednesdays, 11:30-12:30

Thursdays, 11:30-12:30

Fridays, 11:30-12:30


Snack is served:

Wednesdays, 2:00-2:15

Thursdays, 2:00-2:15

The library has a new, monthly book club for middle school students. Meets the last Friday of the month at 4-5pm, beginning in June.
