The Department of Community Investment is an entrepreneurial, innovative, function-based, action-oriented and results driven department of dedicated professionals serving the community to increase economic vitality, improve and strengthen neighborhoods and strategically invest public resources to improve the quality of life for residents and businesses in Hemet.


The vision of the Department of Community Investment is a partnership with other City departments, community organizations, residents, the business community and regional service organizations to increase economic vitality, community enhancement, and livability, fostering a sense of community that remembers and respects its heritage, embraces healthy lifestyles and healthy neighborhoods and promotes harmony through awareness, involvement, and investment.


To forward the expansion of the Hemet’s prosperity measured in terms of jobs, income growth, economic and human development, education, health, and enhanced livability and environmental sustainability.
