Become a Tutor

Improve the quality of your Life.  We offer one on one Training for free.  You must be at least 18 years old, speak English and not enrolled in school.

Make a difference in a neighbor's life.  Be an Adult literacy tutor.

Imagine not being able to read to your children, read a menu at a restaurant, maybe you want to fill out a job application or get a driver's license. The Hemet Public Library Adult Literacy Department has over 20 adult limited literacy students waiting for someone to help them meet their goals. 

We provide the training and match you with a learner. 

You will be required to be fingerprinted and have a background check done by the Hemet Police Department.  There is a fee that you are required to pay at the time of fingerprinting.

Training is at the Hemet Public Library Literacy Center:
