Water / Wastewater Department
The department provides drinking water and wastewater services to a specific service area within the City of Hemet.

The City of Hemet annually completes a Drinking Water Quality Report to inform it's customers about the sources and quality of our drinking water. The City recently completed the 2012 Drinking Water Quality Report which includes details about where the City's drinking water comes from, what is in it, and how that compares to specific standards set by regulatory agencies.

The City of Hemet is also required by the State of California Department of Water Resources to submit an Urban Water Management Plan every 5 years. This Urban Water Management Plan was prepared in accordance with the California Urban Water Management Planning Act, which became effective on January 1, 1985. The Act requires every “urban water supplier" to prepare and adopt an Urban Water Management Plan, and to periodically review its Plan at least once every five years and make any amendments or changes which are indicated by the review. The City of Hemet's Plan is an update for the year 2010.
