The Finance Department is responsible for and performs the following services:
- Calculating the annual appropriation limit
- Coordinating annual and special audits
- Coordinating the preparation of the city's annual operating budget
- Issuing interim financial reports on the city's fiscal and budgetary status
- Issuing the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
- Preparing state controllers' reports
Functions

- Administration of all city funds and accounts
- Business license
- Preparation of all necessary financial reports and performing internal audits
- Preparation of the annual operating budget
- Purchasing, risk management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
- Utility billing
