Cyndi's List of Genealogy Sites on the Internet – Over 50,100 links that have been categorized and cross-referenced in over 120 categories, including the Social Security Death Index . This is a great place to begin your genealogy search.

RootsWeb.com – This site is a cooperative with archives, databases, and more than 3,000 websites related to genealogy. It has a searchable RootsWeb surname list which has dates and locations with contact information for other researchers working on the same family name.

USGenWeb Project - A large cooperative project designed and maintained by volunteers working together to provide Internet websites for family research in every county and state.

WorldGenWeb Project - Volunteer genealogical organization dedicated to the free access of genealogical information by anyone in the world. The project is divided into 15 world regions; then individual countries are divided by provinces, states, or counties.

FamilySearch - The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints has put its extensive family history database online. There is access to the Ancestral File, the International Genealogical Index, and the Family History Catalog. Visit this site to find and share family history information.

Vital Records Information - United States - This site contains information about where to write for birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates from each state, territory, and county of the United States .

Local Geneology Information

HEMET-SAN JACINTO GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY, INC – Includes information about the society and various genealogic information resources in their files on early settlers of the Hemet and San Jacinto areas.

HEMET MUSEUM- I ncludes information about the Local History society and presents various Hemet and other local history links.

Sutro Library –

Branch of the California State Library with a large genealogy and family history resource collection. Its catalog is included in the California State Library Catalog

National Archives & Records Administration (Pacific Region) – Provides historical government records and resources.

Riverside County , California Genealogy –Part of the USGenWeb Project, this site amasses a collection of nearly 350 books relating to Riverside, Riverside County, Southern California, and to a lesser extent San Bernardino County.  In addition, there is information relevant to local history such as access to well over 1500 post cards of Riverside , the Mission Inn, and Riverside County .
