The Hemet Public Library depends
on Community Volunteers to work side-by-side with staff to provide quality library service.
There are always many ways to volunteer your time at the library.

Volunteer Opportunities Available,
Circulation
Checks in and sorts returned materials.
Shelves returned materials, shelf reads and straightens materials.
Computer Docent
Assists customers in getting onto the Internet and word processing
computers and printing.
Children's Area
Storytime and after-school program assistance.
Homebound
Pulls and delivers library materials from collection for customers who
are confined to their home.
Administrative Support
Varied office duties and clerical assignments.
Special Programs
As needed.
Summer Reading Program
Teens ages 13 and up assist staff with recording keeping, crafts and
other tasks for the program.
Teen Advisory Group
Suggest materials and programs of interest to community for age
appropriate customers.
