The City of Hemet uses a commingled recycling program to collect your recycleables. Commingled recycling is more efficient because collection trucks can hold more materials in a single load. New recycling technology allows materials to be sorted at a central location called a Material Recovery Facility or "M.R.F." for short. Click here to see how your recycleables are seperated at a "M.R.F."
Currently, residential recycling is collected every other week. To help you keep track, we've created this handy color coded calendar. If you don't know what your color coded designation is, give us a call or an emai, and we'll send you the calendar for your area - be sure to let us know your address. |
